New 230kV Substations

PowerServ was appointed the operations authority by NYPA to provide 24/7 switching and supervision of the new 230kv Ryan substation. Provided project and construction management oversight from design phase through construction, test, commissioning and energization of several new 230kV substations and interconnections to overhead 230kV NYPA feeders and interconnection to 450MW of three wind farms. Provided energization plans and procedures for new Ryan substation and provided specialized training for local fire department and sheriffs. Provided detailed sequencing of construction activities to minimize outages and eliminate down time of revenue producing wind mills.
